Recreation

...loving God with heart, mind, soul and strength.

The annual church campout is one of our summer highlights. Ask about joining us at Timothy Lake in August. The campout is a great time for relaxing and getting to know each other better. There are NO organized events and we like it that way. We do try to eat somewhat together sharing food and good spirits liberally.

As part of our church's commitment to holistic health: spirit, mind, and body regular exercise is encouraged through weekly walking and stretching at 9:30 am on Mondays. Our Health Team provides monthly blood pressure checks and occasional workshops on physical and mental health topics such as surviving grief and loss, diet and weight, medication checks, and End of Life Issues.

Friends-N- Fun Nights Monthly fellowship, food and fun for all ages, with movies, refreshments, games, and many exciting activities at various times during the year.

United Methodist Camp and Retreat ministries in Oregon and Idaho are renowned for their beauty, inspiration and excellence. Tabor Heights actively supports participation in camp and retreat ministries for all ages including a generous scholarship program.

Local recreational opportunities are available for all ages to spend time together enjoying God's glorious creation. Hikes, picnics, spiritual retreats, and unstructured camping trips provide a universe of opportunities.

Food Glorious Food If you enjoy and appreciate good food and good fellowship you will want to come to fellowship, and occasional fundraising, meals offered by church groups through-out the year. Cost is always low or FREE, quality is always high, and the fun is priceless!

Church Facilities Volunteers invest their time and talent helping to maintain the beauty and functionally of our facilities for congregational and community uses. Throughout the year work parties assist in various projects, such as pruning and weeding the grounds, deep-cleaning the kitchens, and various maintenance projects. We are proud of our beautiful facilities and the value they contribute to the community.
